It’s a busy harbour. Let’s keep each other safe this summer

Download the 2 page PDF about water safety in Toronto by Friends of Cherry Beach. Toronto's Cherry Beach and Outer Harbour are home to 8,000 water users (96% motorless). This is a reminder to be respectful and keep your distance. Make eye contact to let others know you are aware of their presence and take early and substantial action to avoid a collision. Inspirational Sailing Stories talk series launches online

Please consider joining this online talk series organized by Sailing Fanatics for the benefit of our OHSF Water Sport Camp. Hear Tom Winskell, Paul Howard, Jamie Ingall, Sarah Douglas, Alex Byczko, and Diane Reid talk about their sailing experiences! Tickets Presentations will be 20-30 minutes with an opportunity to ask questions following that presentation. To attend we're asking for a $5 donation for a single event or $25 to attend all events. This money will go directly to helping young people without the opportunity to try sailing for free. February 1

The Outer Harbour of Toronto was developed in the 1950s and 1960s by the Toronto Harbour Commission through the construction of a new breakwater called the Outer Harbour East Headland aka Leslie Street Spit (Tommy Thompson Park). At that time, there was expected to be a great upswing in the number of ships calling at Toronto once the Saint Lawrence Seaway opened. Plan for Lake Ontario Park

LAKE ONTARIO PARK Waterfront Toronto has approved a Master Plan in the process of planning Lake Ontario Park, a project that will dramatically change the Outer Harbour.
