Hanlan Boat Club Receives Major Grant for Rowing Upgrades

Great news from our neighbour, the Hanlan Boat Club! They've secured a $92,100 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, enabling them to enhance their rowing fleet significantly. With this funding, Hanlan has acquired five new rowing boats, eight sets of sculling oars, and a new outboard motor to improve safety and accessibility for their programs. Nestled between the Water Rat Sailing Club and the Mooredale Sailing Club, the Hanlan Boat Club offers rowing for beginners to competitive athletes aged 10 to 90+. This is a reminder to be respectful and keep your distance. Make eye contact to let others know you are aware of their presence and take early and substantial action to avoid a collision.
